Code Of Conduct
Confidentiality:
All information shared during sessions, including communications via email, text, phone, or in person, will remain strictly confidential. The therapist will not disclose any personal or session-related details to third parties unless required by law or with the client’s explicit written consent.
Non-Sexual Touch and Professional Conduct:
Cuddle therapy is a strictly professional non-sexual service. Both parties must remain fully clothed throughout the session, and all physical contact will occur over clothing, limited to the scalp, limbs, or torso. Touching of genital areas or any form of sexual intimacy, including kissing, is strictly prohibited. If either party needs to change clothing, this must be done privately and out of view of the other party.
Client Responsibility and Medical Disclaimer:
Cuddle therapy is a complementary wellness service and is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric treatments.
Client responsibilities include:
Disclosing any emotional or medical conditions prior to the session.
Ensuring the use of alcohol, illegal drugs, or any mind-altering substances is strictly avoided before, during, or after the session.
Reporting any discomfort or emotional distress immediately during the session.
Clients should consult a medical professional if they have concerns about their suitability for cuddle therapy.
Medical Conditions:
Clients must disclose all known medical conditions accurately and answer all pre-session questionnaires truthfully. It is the client’s responsibility to inform the therapist of any changes in their medical status before each session. The therapist cannot be held liable for any outcomes resulting from undisclosed medical conditions.
Hygiene and Attire:
Both the client and therapist are expected to maintain high standards of personal hygiene, including:
Showering and brushing teeth within 12 hours prior to the session.
Wearing freshly laundered clothing.
Minimising the use of strong perfumes or colognes unless otherwise requested by the therapist.
Clients are encouraged to wear comfortable, loose-fitting attire for maximum relaxation during the session.
Emotional and Physical Responses:
Emotional responses such as tears, laughter, or other expressions are natural during the therapeutic process and are encouraged. Clients are invited to communicate openly, express their emotions freely and request adjustments to cuddle positions or other aspects of the session at any time.
Should the client wish to discontinue the session, this will be respected without hesitation.
Payment and Cancellation Policy:
A 40% deposit is required to secure a booking and can be paid via the provided online link.
The remaining balance is due before or at the start of the session.
Cancellations and Rescheduling:
Sessions cancelled or rescheduled with less than 12 hours notice will result in a forfeited deposit.
Same-day cancellations or no-shows will require full prepayment for any future sessions.
Right to Refuse Service:
Client’s Right to Discontinue: Clients may request to discontinue a session at any time for any reason. This request will be respected promptly and without judgment.
Therapist’s Right to Refuse or Terminate Service: The therapist reserves the right to refuse or terminate a session immediately if the client:
Violates boundaries or session guidelines.
Exhibits aggressive, disrespectful, or unsafe behaviours.
Creates an environment that compromises safety or professionalism.
In such cases, no refunds will be issued, and the therapist will not be liable for any associated costs or refunds.
Photography and Recordings:
Clients are not permitted to take photographs or record videos during sessions. Only the therapist may take photos or recordings, and this will only occur with prior written consent from both the client and the therapist. Any recordings made will be used solely for purposes that have been mutually agreed upon by both parties.
Safety Protocol:
In some circumstances for safety purposes, a designated third party will be notified of the session’s date, time, location, and, if required, the client’s government-issued photo ID supplied. Following the session, the therapist will confirm their safety with the third party.
Liability Release:
By participating in cuddle therapy, the client agrees to release Cuddle Therapy Adelaide and its therapists from liability for any loss, damage, injury, or emotional harm arising during or after the session. This includes, but is not limited to:
Physical or emotional harm.
Loss or damage to personal property.
Adverse reactions or discomfort during or after the session.
The client acknowledges they are participating at their own risk and accepts full responsibility for their well-being.
Compliance with Laws:
Cuddle Therapy Adelaide strictly offers therapeutic services to individuals aged 18 years and older. This policy ensures that sessions remain appropriate and in compliance with professional and legal standards. Both the practitioner and the client are required to adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, statutes, and regulations throughout the session.
Sessions are designed to maintain a safe, respectful, and non-discriminatory environment for all parties involved. Any actions or behaviours that compromise the integrity or legality of the service will result in the immediate termination of the session. Clients are encouraged to communicate openly and honestly to ensure a positive and effective experience.
